Growing in Faith
At Spirit of Joy!, we believe that we are all called to grow in our faith.
Growth in our prayer and discipleship, growth in our knowledge of Scripture, growth in our service to others. All these things are essential as we grow closer to God in Jesus Christ.
We are excited to offer a wide variety of opportunities for faith growth.

Gift
Every Sunday, disciples of all ages gather for our Growing in Faith Together (GIFT) program to learn together. GIFT is at the heart of our faith growth as a congregation – as a community we are committed to being intergenerational, to learning and growing, and to building deep and meaningful relationships.
Listening to God
In this busy world, we often miss the opportunities to hear God speaking in our lives. Now the perfect chance to take time to slow down and listen to God.
Through prayerful reading of the Bible (Lectio Divina or Divine Reading) and meditation, we are learning to hear God more clearly in our lives.
First and third Thursdays of the month from 7-8 pm (Starting 9/15). Grow closer to God through prayer.

The Faith of our Neighbors
Learn more about our faith while we explore the faith of our neighbors.
We are reading and discussing the book Honoring Our Neighbor’s Faith, as we look at the beliefs and faith practices of other Christian denominations and other religions. (Copies of the book will be available at the study). What is the history of other denominations? What are the biggest differences and similarities between what we believe and what our neighbors believe?

Exploring our Faith
Join us for occasional learning field trips. From service organizations in our community, churches and worship buildings, government offices and more. We are taking our faith on the road as we learn more about God and the community we serve.
These adventures normally take place on Mondays around 10:00 am. Check the calendar for specific information, or the weekly e-news.
