My name is Kathleen Richards and I grew up in Kalamazoo, Michigan. I studied history and political science at Saint Mary’s College and have my Masters of Education from Loyola University Chicago. I began my teaching career in Chicago Public Schools where I taught second, fourth, and fifth grade. I loved my time in Chicago Public and, after having spent the last few years at home with my own children, I am thrilled to be back in the classroom. I have three children and my youngest, Sophie, went to COJ Preschool. In my free time I am an avid runner and enjoy trying new fitness classes. I also love music and can often be found playing the piano or singing to the radio. As a family we enjoy traveling to spend time with family, hiking in the Texas Hill Country, and exploring new restaurants all over the Houston area.
