The curriculum at Children of Joy! is designed to be developmentally appropriate while integrating Christian principles.
Child-directed, child-initiated and teacher-supported play is an essential part of the Children of Joy! program. Our literature-based approach is designed to incorporate dramatic play, reading, writing, art, cooking, math, science, music/movement, and cooperative group experiences. The children will enjoy a classroom setting rich with concrete exploration, creative opportunities, and stimulating activities.
The daily classroom schedules provide for alternating quiet and active play and individual and cooperative experiences to meet the unique needs of all children. Individual teachers and teaching teams design their classroom and lesson plans based on developmentally appropriate practices.
